BIOGRAPHY:
Latson is an African artist, originally from Togo and Liberia. Having lived in different countries and on several continents, he immersed himself in the cultures of different peoples. Passionate about poetry and writing since the age of 9, it was not until his university years in France and the United States that he became seriously involved in music, before discovering a passion for the art of slam, in 2007 in Montreal. His musical universe oscillates between the oratory style of West African griots, hip-hop culture and French poetry. This storyteller released his first album L'être in 2018, where he recounts the different stages of life, from birth to old age, an overview of a lifetime in 15 songs. Magnificent musical project where poetic slam, afro-pop and conscious rap intertwine. L'être is a committed and passionate album, a real breath of fresh air for French-speaking music.
